beach boys

seanwillsaintmalo02.jpg

we've returned home from a 3-day trip to Mont Saint-Michel and Saint-Malo saturated with fond memories. sitting on the beach looking at my boys running barefoot, making sand castles and laughing hysterically. watching the light that my happy face seemed to kindle in my husband's eyes. losing all sense of obligation and time. and being marveled, rested and grateful. truly grateful.

more pictures here and here.

It's a good thing you aren't closer -
they'd have little bite marks on them from ME.

Wow - this one you should frame and put in a place you'll walk by and see everyday - and everyday relive that moment.

Beautiful!

This is the coolest photo. So prophetic. Brotherhood. Wow. Love it.

This one will have to be displayed when they graduate from lycée and University.

Very cool, Irène.

Again, beautiful. Love the shot of the two of them with their hats and scarves. They are gorgeous little kids... and, so mature-looking!

I cannot believe how big they are getting. When I "met" them, they were cherubic toddlers. Now, big boys!

I love this shot! St. Beach looks so gorgeous!

Even though it's so much effort to take the kids somewhere out of town, and I end up doing more work than if I were to stick around the house, we always end up having such a good time and enjoying it.

Wow, you seem to have lucked out with the weather ! I love St Malo, it's so "crisp" -- I don't know why but that's the word that comes to mind when I think of St. Malo... nice view from your hotel too !

What a great photo! I visited Mont Saint-Michel years ago (way, waaay before boys) and the light there is spectacular for photography!

I love those "natural" pictures where the boys are not posed. You sure captured their joy and innocence in the photos. Great shots Irene! Glad you guys had a good time.
